Read Beth’s Break Free Journey From Anxiety

What was the biggest trigger of your mental health issues (anxiety, depression, anger or something else)?

Anxiety and fear.

What issues in your life to you feel most contributed towards your emotional wellbeing?

Any form of stress, work and family. pretty much everything I was just living in constant anxiety.

Which area of your life was most affected by mental health? What did it stop you from doing or achieving?

Family life, stopped me from going out with kids and generally enjoying time with them.

Can you describe the feelings and thoughts you experienced?

I was having fearful, worst case scenario thoughts. I felt scared and panicked most of the day. I would focus on the negative, scary thoughts and let them consume me.

What was the tipping point that made you speak up about how you were feeling and seek professional help?

First time I knew I needed to speak to someone was 6 months after my first was born, when I was at a family event and someone took my daughter out of my sight and I had a massive panic attack, I couldn’t breathe or move. finally decided to give BWS a go after 3 years of counselling.

How did you hear about BWS?

TV advert.

What questions did you have before first contacting kylie / BWS

No questions really, I was curious what it was all about and how it worked.

Why did you decide to try give BWS a shot?

I was at a point where I was desperate for anything to help faster than counselling was.

Can you explain the process of going through the BWS emotional empowerment program from the first session until now?

it was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be, surprisingly peaceful and calming. At first, it was difficult to understand how it actually worked, I was hesitant and sceptical, however after each session I noticed a change and very quickly became more open minded and just went with the flow of it. now after completing the program I wish I had of done it sooner.

How did you feel after your first BWS session?

I felt great, clear headed, relieved. I felt like I finally had space in my mind.

How did you feel after each session? Did you experience different emotions / feelings / relief after particular sessions?

after each session I kept feeling better and better. it was like my mind was organised. I knew I still had negative and scary thoughts however I could file them away. I felt like I had more space and time to enjoy everything, I was present. after the PTSD session I walked out feeling relieved that it that panicked feeling I had been carrying around for long had just gone.

How many sessions did it take before you felt the real impact?

I think after the 3rd session I really started to notice how much better I felt, also my family started to noticed too.

What specific tools, lessons techniques has it taught you that have helped control your mental health and emotional wellbeing?

I think the main thing I\’ve learnt from this is that it my thoughts do not control me, I can control them and i can choose how to handle each situation that pops up in my life. I am stronger than I thought I was.

What would you say to anyone suffering from what you suffered?

To get help. any type of help whether its typical or controversial. any form of help is better than living with anxiety and PTSD.

What would you say to someone sceptical about whether a program like BWS can help them?

Highly recommend to give it a go. It cant do any more damage to your mental health than doing nothing will.
